The call to connect with God is not just personal; it’s communal. David, in Psalm 34, invites others to join him in praising the Lord.

Even those who rise to positions of leadership are not to be defined by their authority or position, but by their willingness to serve.

The cost of discipleship is real and unavoidable. Jesus warns His followers that if they try to avoid this cost, they will lose the true life He offers.

As we seek to pursue God's promises, we should remember His goodness and faithfulness. Like the Israelites, we may be waiting for God to answer our prayers or fulfill His promises.

When we seek God’s help, we can break free from whatever chains that bind us, so that we can worship Him freely and fully.

This 2024, may we not only soar like eagles as we wait upon the Lord. May we also soar like an offering that reaches God and pleases Him!

It should not cause us to wonder that we must be humbled first before God fulfills His promise of making us soar like eagles. For such a pattern has been set and followed by Jesus Christ himself. Jesus himself would be humbled before God highly exalted Him.

They are given a promise that when they wait upon God, they will fly and soar like eagles. Isaiah however makes it clear. Before this promise finds its fulfillment, God’s people must first deal with sin.

The promised consolation, redemption and restoration would come only after a season of defeat. Before God’s people would soar like eagles, they must first be brought low.

This 2024, may we have a mindset of waiting on God. May we all focus on this first: looking eagerly for God, hoping for God, and expecting from God; Go after him and remain in Him.

The joy that John the Baptist spoke about is found only in Jesus Christ. It is unlike the joy that this world brings; a joy that is temporary and short-lived.

Tulad ni John the Baptist, when you are secure in your identity and calling, you too will be able to withstand the shaking that the increasing in Jesus and decreasing of self may bring. At ito ay makikita lamang natin kay Jesus Christ.

Ganoon rin sa ating buhay, we also need to relinquish ownership so that when God starts taking away from us, we will not hold on tightly to these things. For at times, God has to take away in order for Him to do the work of increasing in us.

Ang buhay natin parang mathematics. Sa ating buhay Kristiyano, kailangan may addition at subtraction. At bilang mga alagad at followers ni Jesus hindi optional na may maidagdag at maibawas sa ating buhay. They are in fact a must in our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Sa mga ganitong pagkakataon natin makikita ang pagkilos ng Panginoon. It is during these times when God provides strength for the journey. So to you that have been weakened and discouraged by the pandemic, take hope in the strength that God brings!
